10 Years!

There's this funny thing called Facebook. I'm not sure who is the genious that created this fun and addicting website, but I've been on it for only a few days, and I can't seem to stop. It's now 12am, and I'm still up. This is not normal. I need to go to bed! I keep telling myself to stop, but I can't. It's funny, I'll write something on someone's wall or friend someone, and then I'll go to my email. And usually I get an email saying that someone has responded. Then I'll go back to my Facebook page and read my wall. It's this crazy cycle that's really sucking me in. Who knew that this website could bring together so many people! I've got back in contact with some high school friends, and even one from middle school! Craziness! The sad part is that I've missed so much of their lives. I mean, it's been 10 years since I've talked with some of these people. Some have moved. So have gotten married. Some have been to grad school. Some have children that I don't even know their names. And to think that they're actually desiring to respond to my messages after being awol for 10 years?! Perhaps they miss contact with their old high school or college pals just like I do. This Facebook stuff is just so great! I hope that something can become of it all. That maybe the little group of friends that I was involved with will get back together for a little reunion. We will see. We will see.

For the Love of Harness Racing is a blog that I've been waiting to start. My grandfather grew up around harness racing (his father was a trainer and a driver), and he recently recorded his thoughts and had someone transcribe it. He just got the first part back, and he said he'd give it to me. I plan on dedicating this blog to his thoughts, experiences, and knowledge about harness horse racing. It should be cool.
